In 2002 James E. Schram established Grizzly Supply Inc. Jim had previously been employed in the post frame industry for over twenty-four years. A difference in business philosophy prompted Jim to resign his position and begin his own post-frame company.

Jim started out by selling post frame material packages to contractors in central and southern Minnesota. He was working out of a small local office in the local lumber yard in Danube, MN. The demand was greater than expected and expansion was on its way.

In 2004 Grizzly Supply, Inc. built a 17,500 sq. ft warehouse to house all the building material from the elements. Grizzly Supply, Inc. chose to build on the outskirts of Danube with State Hwy. 212 frontage.
In 2005 the Grizzly Supply, Inc. expansion grew again with a 8,900 sq. ft. cold storage warehouse and a 8,300 sq. ft. office w/ shop which is now the permanent home of Grizzly Supply, Inc.

In 2006 a sister company, Grizzy Buildings Inc., was formed to handle the fully constructed buildings. Thru all the expansions, both of Grizzly companies pride themselves on never compromising customer satisfaction or the quality of its buildings and or materials.

In 2011 the Grizzly Companies received new owners. James Schram has decided to semi retire and he thought the right thing to do was to sell it to the employees-Clifton Lerud, Kim Allex, Loren Odegard, and Jamie Nordang. It will be a two year transition until Jim goes into full retirement, until then he will be employed by the new owners. We as the new owners would like to stress that Grizzly Buildings Inc. and Grizzly Supply Inc. will be run as always and remembering that the customer satisfaction, quality of its buildings and materials is our main goal and we would like to thank everyone for their support in our new business venture.
